The aim of the research programme Nordic Spaces: Formation of States, Societies and Regions, Cultural Encounters, and Idea and Identity Production in Northern Europe after 1800 is to generate new research on Northern Europe and research collaboration within the region.

Senior Lecturer in Museum and Heritage Management, School of Arts and Humanities, Nottingham Trent University. Member of the National History – Nordic Culture project.
Stuart Burch leads the academic components of the MA in Museum and Heritage Management and the MA in Public History and Heritage Management, including thesis writing and research. He is also the Examinations Officer for the two programmes. Stuart’s teaching focuses on museums, collecting and display; the form and function of art galleries; the study of urban space and public art.
